Government to Utilise Federal Land for Affordable Homes

The government aims to build affordable homes for middle-income households earning less than RM5,000 by providing federal land to private sector.

According to Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung, Minister of Housing and Local Government, 42,078 units of affordable homes will be built in 20 locations throughout Seremban, Rawang and Klang Valley.
“The government still has large tracks of unused land and has handed it to the private sector to build affordable houses for the middle-income group,” said Chor, adding that public and private partnerships have helped reduce the government’s housing burden.
